The importance of AI and big data analytics across sectors is an interesting development and is beginning to open up new opportunities. Xiaomi said that deep learning, such as voice recognition & face detection, were now being applied and they had collected about
10mn data points/users, which could be used to better profile users.
AI & Big Data gaining traction in India as well, companies could use these tools to gain a better understanding of their customers and push products /services accordingly. As an example, we have spoken with eCommerce companies that are considering using technology to help improve conversion and repeat rates, target marketing efforts and discounts effectively, improve inventory turn and
warehousing/logistic efficiencies and eventually drive better net promoter scores.
