Xiaomi - Redmi Pro ? Dual-cam + Deca-Core + 5.5? AMOLED, US$225-300.
In line with the trend of price-to-performance, this model offers attractive specifications such as Helio X20/X25 Deca-core (MTK?s flagship SoC), 3/4GB RAM, 32-128GB ROM, 5.5? AMOLED display, 4050mAh battery, metal casings, fingerprint and dual-SIM.
Release of this will have little to no impact on overall volume of Xiaomi?s smartphone business. We expect this model could dilute its two other product series: Mi (the original high-end model) and Redmi Notes (better specifications but with attractive ASP at around US$200). We believe smartphone brands will mainly focus on component upgrades to display, casings, fingerprint and dual camera (unlikely to focus on acoustics and antenna).
