Apple services (cloud, Apple Pay, Apple Care, apps, software) grew +15% year over year (+26% with patent settlement) which is
growing a more predictive stream of recurring revenues and now represents 8% of total sales compared to 6% a year ago and an active installed base of over 1 billion devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Apple Watch).
Apple commented that the outlook for the March quarter represents the toughest quarter for the company for y/y comparisons. That said, management expects iPhone unit decline to be less severe than -15-20% y/y, thereby putting a floor on how low March quarter iPhone units could go and setting the stage for easer comps in future quarters ahead
