The ad-spends by the Indian Internet industry may remain elevated for some time to come, as new companies attempt to disrupt the old ones and strive to take away traffic and market-share.

This is already evidenced by the spike in advertising costs for companies for online real estate platforms as well as general classified platforms such as Quikr. As a result, existing companies in the space may also be required to up their spends, especially since India remains a ?push? market as far as app downloads are concerned (per InMobi, ~25% of app downloads in India are as a result of active advertising by the app publisher and this proportion is the highest in the world).
