The industry?s autonomous/connected/shared/EV race continues to accelerate. Whereas 5-10yrs ago Auto/Tech investing was mainly
confined to regulatory-driven content additions, today?s theme has expanded to include new business models with significant TAMs?including shared autonomous mobility & big-data. Both tech capability & data are critical in this race.

For automakers, we continue to expect a mix of global winners & losers and believe the next phase of global OEM investing will
distinguish valuation multiples as such. So we look for both defensive OEM qualities and offensive traits that are often overlooked (data, scale, EVs, rideshare outlets).

The regulatory process for driverless cars could entail a potential mix of self-certification and pre-approval process though we sensed greater bias towards self-certification. As a result, it?s possible that mobility fleets could, at least initially, compete to some
