Net-adds reported by Bharti / Vodafone / Idea were down 23%/44%/41% from March level, to 2.2mn/0.76mn/1.4mn in April. Among regional telcos, Uninor reported a very strong month with 1.2mn net-adds in April, compared to 0.5mn in March, driven by all except the AP circle. Overall, Bihar and UP-East were again the best performing circles?together, they accounted for 32% of April net-adds.
VLR (active) subscriber base was 863mn as of end Mar-15, or 89% of the reported headline subscribers base (SIM cards). VLR net-adds during the year were 72mn. Idea / Bharti / Vodafone respectively captured c.33%/27%/22% of the incremental VLR additions in FY15
