We have confirmed information that Reliance Jio Infocomm intends to host and operate multiple cloud based solutions for its customers running on an OpenStack cloud framework. This offering will include both a private cloud implementation and a public cloud offering.
It is also noteworthy that Reliance Jio is getting some application suite developed to be hosted on its own cloud. Now in this backdrop, can Reliance Jio compete with established cloud service providers like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, etc ?
