Reliance Jio Infocomm indicated that data consumption for last disclosed base of 16 mn subscribers is averaging around 0.8-1.2 GB per subscriber per day, with over 60% directed towards videos. According to the management, the network is functioning smoothly except for pockets and time periods of congestions, which is being optimized by the network management team to enhance user experience.
Below-par experience of subscribers due to call failures amid interconnect issues may compel the company to continue with promotional schemes for a longer period beyond December 2016 as well as delay capitalization of the project.
The management indicated that capitalization of Jio (and thereby accounting of expected initial losses) will be contingent on the performance of the business as per the parameters (KPIs) set by them?allowed under Ind-AS.
