The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India released revenue market share data for 2QFY17 (quarter ending September) which showed Bharti gaining 20 bps of market share vs the previous quarter.
Airtel's revenue growth in 2QFY17 was almost twice that of n Vodafone and Idea (as per TRAI data). Bharti has gained 140 bps of market share in the last 12 months, which we believe is driven by its faster network rollout vs peers.
Vodafone?s market share during the quarter was largely flat qoq whereas Idea lost 50 bps. The top 3 operators now hold 75.2% market share vs 72.8% 12 months ago.
