Release of this will have little to no impact on overall volume of Xiaomi?s smartphone business. We expect this model could dilute its two other product series: Mi (the original high-end model) and Redmi Notes (better specifications but with attractive ASP at around US$200). We believe smartphone brands will mainly focus on component upgrades to display, casings, fingerprint and dual camera (unlikely to focus on acoustics and antenna).
