On the the MiFi (wireless routers) and wireless data networks in urban Mumbai locations Testing across Mumbai indicates the outdoor network offers a strong 3-4 bar signal with an average speed of 15- 20mbps. On the other hand, the in-building network is still weak with 1-2 bars.
Out of the planned 75,000 cell sites for the pan-India coverage, about 55,000 are fully commissioned. The remaining (20,000) are at some stage of frequency testing & commissioning; they will be completed by March 2016.
Reliance Jio Soft Launch
RJIO?s wireless telecom services soft launch will include over 100,000 users on pan-India basis including Reliance employees. This service will be expanded to include friends and family members as well as vendors by March-end 2016.
