Reliance Jio SmartPhone Tablets to be Launched with 4G Broadband

Reliance Jio Infocomm’s Tarun Jhunjhunwala, Business Head East Indian Operations has said,

We have plans to provide 4G services at affordable rates. Talks are on with device manufacturers for dongles, tablets and smartphones

Reliance Jio is planning akin to something in the US market where the Hardware is Subsidized upon subscription to Data / Voice Plans.

Reliance Jio Infocomm which has tied up with Reliance Communications for Inter-City Network had then said that both the companies will co-operate in sharing their network. Reliance Jio is building a massive Rollout of 5,500 Km of Optical Fiber across 56 towns with 3500 towers in the East India. It is likely to share this on a reciprocal basis with RCom. Clean Win-Win Deal for both the companies.

Reliance Jio Infocomm is leasing International bandwith from Airtel which connects India to Singapore and then to the rest of the world.
