Idea Cellular along with the rest of the Industry hiked 2G Mobile Voice Call Tariffs in August & September considered to be a seasonally weak quarter in the Indian Wireless industry. Our Statistics Team tracking the telecom circle-wise mobile tariffs has released the following pre-paid plans which saw an increment in net revenue realization to the company – the RPM factor.

- Bihar Tariff Voucher of Rs17, tariff validity 60 days, local & STD calls to mobile no. 0.40/min – Cost of pack Rs18 – validity 30 days – local & STD calls to mobile no. @ Rs0.50/min Halved the validity, increased the cost of voucher as well as the call rates RPM impact of 34%
- Delhi STD pack of Rs32, STD calls @ Rs0.40/min, validity 28 days Cost of pack Rs43 – STD calls @ Rs0.30/min for first 100 mins & thereafter @ Rs0.50/min – validity 28 days Increased the call of voucher which more than off-sets the reduced rate on the 1st 100 mins Minimum RPM impact of 1% @ 100 minutes of usage, impact will increase with higher as well as lower usage
